1) Umm... I think you import it. Something like File > Import, I think?
2) Click the frame where the audio is played. Now go to the properties panel and change Sync from Event to Stream. That way, the audio will play along with the frame it's at.
In the meantime, you can check out my third part of my story, which I have been meaning to put up for a while.
